Until the end of 2019, Kazakhstan will fully switch to the electronic format of providing medical services and plans to save about 1 billion tenge due to digitalization. This was discussed at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on introduction of compulsory social health insurance, chaired by the Vice-Minister of Health Olzhas Abishev, Kazpravda.kz reports.

"In terms of the planned digital transformation of the Medical Insurance Fund, it was noted that by the end of 2019 it is planned to use the electronic contracts with medical service providers to minimize the human factor. The amount of saved money from digitalization is expected to be about 1 billion tenge," said Abishev.

As noted, in the category of public services, the procedure for attaching to a clinic will be fully automated, which makes it unnecessary for a person to be involved in the organization of primary health care.

Earlier it was reported that residents of Nur-Sultan will be able to leave feedback on doctors and clinics through a mobile application.
