Contributions of Kazakhstani people to Social Medical Insurance Fund surpassed forecasts

Contributions to the Social Insurance Fund in 2017 exceeded 32 billion tenge, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the SMIF. 

"The total amount of deductions and contributions of employers and individual entrepreneurs for compulsory social health insurance from July 1 to December 31, 2017 amounted to 32.1 billion tenge," the fund said. 

KZT26.4 bn (about 82.2%) of the amount falls on the deductions of employers, KZT 5.7 bn (about 17.8%) - contributions of individual entrepreneurs and individuals working under contracts of a civil-law nature.

In the context of the regions, the largest amounts still come from Almaty and Astana, as well as from Karaganda and East Kazakhstan regions.

At the end of the year, the figures exceeded the projected expectations of the Social Medical Insurance Fund. Recall that the forecast for 2017 was about 30 billion tenge.
