COVID19 infected women gave birth to 11 healthy babies in Nur-Sultan

11 healthy babies were born in Nur-Sultan by women infected with COVID19. This was reported by the head of the public health department of the capital Saule Kisikova, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the city akimat.

“Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in Nur-Sultan, 2,520 people have been infected. 1,621 people have already been cured. I also want to tell you the good news that 11 healthy newborns appeared in mothers infected with COVID-19,” S. Kisikova said.

She recalled that since June 3, according to the decision of the chief sanitary doctor of Kazakhstan, the tactics of conducting medical supervision has been changed with the division into symptomatic and asymptomatic patients.

"More attention needs to be paid to patients with symptoms in order to avoid complications and organize timely medical care. Asymptomatic patients are monitored under conditions of home quarantine by territorial clinics, they are provided with pulse oximeters to measure the level of blood oxygen saturation, daily calls are made", - said Kisikova.

The head of the city health department also recalled that the city akimat conducts daily monitoring of facilities whose activities have been resumed. An explanatory work is carried out with business entities and their leaders. For violation of requirements, the activities of such enterprises are suspended. In addition, S. Kisikova again called on residents of the capital to strictly observe quarantine measures.
