Majilis deputy commented on resignation of Byurabekova

Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Irina Smirnova commented on the dismissal of Lyudmila Byurabekova from the post of Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reports.

"Bad memories are associated with this lady. She did not allow the country's pharmaceutical industry to develop, prevented the conduct of clinical trials of devices and drugs of Kazakh scientists," Smirnova wrote on her Facebook page.

According to the deputy, Byurabekova "approved the promotion of foreign medicines at a price several times higher than that of neighbors," and also "promoted PCR analyzes in one network of laboratories for 20 000 tenge."

“She said that masks couldn't be cheaper than 110 tenge. She was calm about the lack of medicines during the terrible summer period of this year. She showed indifference to the fate of people and patients. Finally, she is dismissed," the deputy added.

On September 23, 2020, by a government decree, Lyudmila Byurabekova was relieved of her post. She was appointed Vice Minister of Health in April 2020, when Yelzhan Birtanov was the Minister.
