Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin visited a modular infectious diseases hospital during his working trip to Mangystau region and held a meeting on the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the region, Kazpravda.kz reports.

Akim of Mangistau region S. Trumov and Minister of Health A. Tsoi reported that from 25 to 31 October this year the morbidity in the region increased 1.6 times, the reproductive number reached 0.9. On November 1 this year 2 cases were registered, from 2 to 6 November no cases were registered, the website of the Prime Minister reports.

The workload of infectious beds is 17%, resuscitation beds - 10%. The highest incidence rates are observed in Aktau and Zhanaozen.

There are 9 infectious diseases hospitals with 335 infectious and 48 intensive care beds in the region. Additionally, 11 reserve hospitals with 1835 infectious and 130 intensive care beds were equipped. Medical institutions are provided with 260 lung ventilators and 638 oxygen concentrators. 14 hospitals have centralized oxygen supply.

To replenish the stabilization fund, 450 million tenge was allocated from the local budget, which made it possible to form a two-month supply of medicines in medical institutions and the pharmacy network of the region. The fleet of ambulances has been replenished by 82 units, and an additional 34 vehicles are expected to be delivered by the end of the year.

In the Mangystau region, there are 6 laboratories for the diagnosis of COVID-19, as well as a mobile station for PCR testing. The total testing capacity is 4300 tests per day. Currently, over 1300 PCR tests are made per day.

24 monitoring groups since August this year conducted 1,428 raids, 126 violations were revealed at the facilities.
