Due to quarantine restrictions in the capital, the incidence of severe pneumonia has decreased and the number of hospitalizations with coronavirus infection and pneumonia has decreased, Kazpravda.kz reports.

According to the official website of the Nur-Sultan akimat, since July 5, the number of hospitalizations of patients with severe pneumonia has decreased by 40.5%, and the number of patients with coronavirus needing inpatient treatment has decreased by 50.3%.

"Quarantine measures, strengthening of outpatient treatment in polyclinics and the observance of strict sanitary norms by the townspeople have significantly reduced the burden on the healthcare system and on our doctors. The number of ambulance calls has more than halved - from 2,400 to 1,129 per day (52.3%), including on CVI - from 350 to 112 per day. We ask all townspeople to observe strict sanitary rules after the quarantine in order to avoid a repeated growth of infection," Aliya Rustemova, head of the Public Health Department of the capital said.

In the city as a whole, the proportion of those who recovered from coronavirus infection is 67% of the total number of those infected. 9494 people were infected, 6607 recovered.
