Acting head of JSC "National Scientific Cardiac Surgery Center" Mahabbat Bekbosynova announced an increase in the number of deaths from diseases of the circulatory system in Kazakhstan. According to her, this is due to the fact that not all patients consulted doctors on time, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.

“Our center today moderates two programs of the Health Ministry. These are chronic cardiac inefficiency and acute coronary syndrome. We analyzed the situation in the most difficult months for Kazakhstan - June, July and August. It turned out that the incidence of acute coronary syndrome decreased by 1.5 times. But we think that it was because people were afraid to call and tell doctors about themselves, that there are pains in the heart, because many feared that they might be infected with COVID-19, "Bekbosynova said.

At the same time, according to her, all health care forces were aimed at helping patients with severe coronavirus pneumonia.

"At the same time, the mortality rate from acute coronary syndrome has grown. Last year at the same time it was about 3%, whereas this year the mortality rate stands at 4.8%. These figures indicate that out of 100 people, every 3 people died from acute myocardial infarction, "the expert summed up.
